Minahasa Regent Holds Consultation with Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs on Strengthening Christian Community Development

JAKARTA, Cipta News – The Regent of Minahasa, Robby Dondokambey, S.Si, MAP, accompanied by the Chairwoman of the Minahasa TP-PKK, Mrs. Martina W. Dondokambey Lengkong, SE, and Vice Regent of Minahasa, Vanda Sarundajang, SS, held a consultation meeting with the Secretary of the Directorate General of Christian Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Rev. Johni Tilaar, S.Th, M.Si, in Jakarta on Friday (January 9, 2026).

The consultation discussed various strategic issues related to the development of Christian religious life, strengthening synergy between local governments and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, as well as support for spiritual and social community development programs in Minahasa Regency.

Regent Robby Dondokambey stated that the meeting was part of the Minahasa Regency Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen communication and coordination with the central government, particularly in supporting religious programs that have a direct impact on the community.

“Through this consultation, we hope to establish stronger and more sustainable cooperation between the Minahasa Regency Government and the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, in order to enhance the quality of faith-based life and promote interreligious harmony in Minahasa,” the Regent said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Directorate General of Christian Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Rev. Johni Tilaar, welcomed the visit and expressed appreciation for the commitment of the Minahasa Regency Government in supporting community development and inclusive, sustainable religious services.

He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the central and regional governments in fostering harmonious religious life and contributing positively to national development.

Also accompanying the delegation were the Head of the General Affairs Division and the Head of the Protocol Division of the Minahasa Regency Government.(*/SPAN)
